The Atlantis (music venue)
The Atlantis is a music venue in Washington, D.C. that will open on May 30, 2023.[1][2] The venue is designed to be a replica of the original 9:30 Club, which was originally called The Atlantis,[3][4] and is to open exactly 43 years after the original 9:30 Club.[5] The venue will only have a capacity of 450 people. The Foo Fighters will be the first band to perform at the venue,[6] two years after Dave Grohl first revealed that the venue was being built.[7][8] The club is going to have 44 performances during its first season, running from May through September 2023.[9] Tickets were initially released through a lottery system, drawing over half a million requests for the 20,000 tickets.[10]
