Trade talk
The trade talk[1][2] or trade tongue[3] is the language of the wharves and docks and sailor's taverns. It a coarse jumble of words and phrases from a dozen languages, accompanied by hand signs and gestures, most of them insulting.[3] In Slaver's Bay it is a guttural sailor's pidgin influenced by Old Ghiscari.[2]
Sothoryi who dwell closest to the Summer Sea are said to have learned the trade talk.[4]
