Princess Saera Targaryen was a daughter of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen and Queen Alysanne Targaryen.[2]

History

Princess Saera was one of the thirteen children born to King Jaehaerys and his sister wife, Queen Alysanne.[3] Her parents had given her to the Faith of the Seven, but Saera's wishes were elsewhere. When she was a novice, Saera left the motherhouse and fled beyond the narrow sea. She stayed in Lys for a while, before going to Volantis, where she eventually became the owner of a famous pleasure house.[4]

On his deathbed, King Jaehaerys mistook Lady Alicent Hightower for one of his daughters. Near the end, he grew convinced that Alicent was Saera, returned from across the sea.[2]
