Ragged Silas, was a leader of the Poor Fellows during the Faith Militant uprising against the reign of King Maegor I Targaryen.[1]

History

Following the Faith Militant's defeats in 42 ᴀᴄ in the battles at Stonebridge and the Great Fork of the Blackwater, new leaders arose across the Seven Kingdoms in 43 ᴀᴄ. Among these were Ser Joffrey Doggett in the westerlands, Septon Moon in the riverlands, and Poxy Jeyne Poore in the Kingswood of the stormlands.

Other leaders of note included Dennis the Lame and Ragged Silas, who (like Septon Moon) were said to be hardly distinguishable from outlaws.

Maegor launched a new military campaign in 45 ᴀᴄ targeted at Jeyne Poore and her followers, and while it did succeed in killing her and wiping them out by 46 ᴀᴄ, this only gave the other pockets of the Faith Militant in different parts of the realm time to recover. Doggett, Moon, Dennis, and Simon remained at large when Maegor returned to King's Landing, the smallfolk helping to keep them safe wherever they went.

Silas's ultimate fate isn't mentioned, nor which broad region of Westeros he was active in.[1]
