Poison Sea

Essos west of the Bone Mountains and the location of the Poison Sea

The Poison Sea is a large inland saltwater sea at the northeastern edges of the red waste.^[1] The ruined city of Adakhakileki lies at the northern tip of the sea. Northeast of the Poison Sea is Vaes Jini and the Stone Road. The eastern side of the sea abuts part of the Bone Mountains. Many leagues south of the Poison Sea lies Qarth. The Dothraki consider the sea poisonous because their horses cannot drink the saltwater.^[2]
