A Dance with Dragons
He accompanies and continues to serve King Stannis I at the Wall. He marches on Winterfell with King Stannis' host. In the squires betting pool he is the heavy favorite to die next from the cold. During a discussion among Stannis' lords and knights in the longhall of the crofters' village the army has stopped at, Ormund suggests that they remain there until the snowy weather breaks since they have some shelter and can fish from the nearby lake.[1]
