Lord Norbert squired for Lord Darry in his youth, alongside Ser Brynden Tully.[1]

Lord Norbert is among the river lords who bend the knee to the Iron Throne after the death of Robb Stark at the Red Wedding. He is among the reluctant river lords who join the siege of Riverrun, sent as a representative to the war council for the recalcitrant rivermen. Lord Norbert offers to talk with Ser Brynden Tully in an effort to end the siege. His suggestion is dismissed by Lord Clement Piper.[1]
