Dickon Tarly is the second son and fifth child of Lord Randyll Tarly and Lady Melessa Florent. Since his less martial older brother Sam has joined the Night's Watch, he is the heir to Horn Hill.[2] Dickon is a young squire.[3] In the television adaptation Game of Thrones he is portrayed by Freddie Stroma in Season 6 and Tom Hopper in Season 7.

A Feast for Crows
When House Tarly marched to support Renly Baratheon's claim to the Iron Throne, Dickon was among the force mustered at Highgarden. During the march, he reported to his father the wager for Brienne of Tarth's maidenhead that several young knights had begun. Dickon is now betrothed to Eleanor Mooton, the eldest daughter of William Mooton, Lord of Maidenpool.[4]
A Dance with Dragons
Dickon has wed the thirteen-year-old Eleanor.[5]
