Beron is in command of the guards digging to find an entrance to the crypt of Winterfell for Lady Barbrey Dustin. He finally uses an axe to open the frozen door to the crypt. He provides a light for Lady Dustin and Theon Greyjoy when they enter the crypt.[1]
