Ser Balon Byrch was a knight of House Byrch during the Dance of the Dragons. He served as a captain of the City Watch of King's Landing during the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen. He commanded the Old Gate.[1]
History
During the riots of King's landing, Ser Balon led his men against the rioters and managed to restore some semblance of order to the streets north and east of Rhaenys's Hill.[1]
After the death of Ser Luthor Largent, Ser Balon was made the new Commander of the City Watch. He accompanied the guard that escorted Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen from King's Landing to find safe haven. He was slain by an arrow when the escort was attacked near Duskendale by broken men.[1]
