Anniversary Tourney

The Anniversary Tourney was a great tourney in King's Landing^[1] in 272 ᴀᴄ.

History

Lord Tywin Lannister, the Hand of the King, hosted the tourney to celebrate the tenth year of King Aerys II Targaryen's reign. During its proceedings the king drunkenly insulted Tywin's wife, Lady Joanna Lannister, by asking if her breasts had been ruined by breastfeeding her children, Cersei and Jaime. Aerys refused to allow Tywin to resign as Hand the following day.^[2]
