Ser Albar Royce is a knight and the eldest son and heir of Lord Nestor Royce, Keeper of the Gates of the Moon.[1]
Appearance
Albar is broad shouldered.[2] He shaves his chin but has fierce black side whiskers.[1] He looks very much like his father.[2]
Recent Events
A Game of Thrones
Ser Albar is present at the Eyrie when Tyrion Lannister demands trial by combat. He offers himself as a champion for Lady Lysa Arryn, but she prefers Ser Vardis Egen to him.[1]
A Feast for Crows
Albar comes with his father Nestor to the Eyrie to hear Marillion confess that he killed Lysa. Albar does not like Marillion very much, as the singer made a song about pigs eating a falcon's droppings. As the arms of House Arryn displays a falcon and Albar and his father were in service to House Arryn, they consider the song insulting.[2]
