Alan Tarly was the Lord of Horn Hill and head of House Tarly during the Dance of the Dragons.[1]
History
Lord Tarly supported Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and the blacks.
Supported by Lord Owen Costayne and Ser Alan Beesbury, Alan trapped Lord Ormund Hightower's forces between them and Lord Thaddeus Rowan and the Bastard of Bitterbridge along the banks of the Honeywine. Lord Hightower's lines were starting to crumble and defeat seemed all but a forgone conclusion. However, Daeron Targaryen joined the Battle on the Honeywine on his dragon Tessarion, turning the battle for the Greens. Alan was captured after the Battle on the Honeywine.[1]
