The economy of Myanmar is the seventh largest in Southeast Asia, with an estimated nominal GDP of US$63.99 billion in 2023 and an estimated purchasing power adjusted GDP of $278.16 billion in 2023 according to the International Monetary Fund. For the 2023 estimate, GDP per capita in Myanmar would be $5,130.00 in PPP per capita and $1,240.00 in nominal per capita. These economic statistics were a huge decline from the economic statistics of Myanmar in the fiscal year of 2020, in which Myanmar’s nominal GDP was $81.26 billion and its purchasing power adjusted GDP was $279.14 billion.
