Kevin Ciubotaru

Kevin Ciubotaru (born 2 February 2004) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Rangers B. Born in Italy, he is a Romania youth international.

Early life

Ciubotaru was born in Rome, Italy, to Romanian parents and started football with the youth academy of Ciampino.[1]

Club career

While playing for Rapid Vienna, he was loaned to Austria XIII, Admira Youth and TWL Youth.[2] After five years playing in Austria, Ciubotaru moved to England with his father for educational purposes.[3] He then trialed with English Premier League sides Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Watford.[4] After that, he received an offer from Barnet and played the youth academy of Parma and the Kinetic Foundation before signing for Scottish side Rangers B.[5]

International career

Ciubotaru has represented Romania at youth level.[6]

Style of play

Ciubotaru mainly operates as a left-back.[7]

Personal life

Ciubotaru is the son of Silviu Ciubotaru.[8]
