Rock king
Rock king was an ancient title among the ironborn during the Age of Heroes. Each of the Iron Islands had both a rock king and a salt king. While the the salt king commanded at sea, whenever the island's longships sailed, the rock king ruled the island itself, dispensing justice, making laws and settling disputes. They were chosen at the kingsmoot.[1]
The tradition of rock kings ended with Urron Greyiron abolished kingsmoots.
